Named in 2005’s Frommers London as ‘Favourite
Indian Restaurant’, Café Spice is the world famous
restaurant of which Cyrus is Proprietor and Executive
Chef. Described by Tatler as ‘one of the best restaurants
in the capital serving sub-continental cuisine’, it is
renowned for its original and contemporary approach
to Indian cuisine. Café ‘t’ was launched in 2006 in
Asia House, London’s premier destination for pan-Asian
cultural events. He has written two books in the Café
Spice Namasté series: Modern Indian Cooking and
New Wave Indian Cooking.
Cyrus was voted Best Indian Chef in the UK and
received a Culinary Honour of Merit Award from the
World Chef Society. In 2000, he was presented with
an MBE for his outstanding contribution to the catering
industry. He regularly makes guest appearances on
television and radio.
